Surfacephilia is a UK based surface pattern design studio that creates luxurious bohemian patterns for the design industry. Surfacephilia manufactures it’s own collections of digitally printed wallpaper, luxury fabrics, cushions and home ware. Since launching in 2011, the home ware brand has been described in The Telegraph Magazine as ‘one to watch’ and Glass magazines ‘Top 5 designers to have in your home’. The whimsical wallpapers have graced the walls of many hotels, retail shops, TV show sets, magazine editorials and residential homes around the world.

Helen’s hand rendered approach towards surface pattern has become her signature style, and her bold and experimental designs are built up using layering of intricate and often repetitive drawings, paintings and textures that have been lifted directly from precious sketchbook pages.

Helen launched her gorgeous first Surfacephilia wallpaper collection ‘Navajo’ at Tent London. The range holds five distinctive designs which draw inspiration from American bird types, feathers and the patterns found within Native-American jewellery. Decadence, the second collection to be launched by Surfacephilia presents a collection of darkly romantic patterns inspired by English heritage and times gone by. Within the collection you will discover layers of worn opulence and eroded surfaces, hand drawn statuesque woodland creatures, gothic lace patterns, enchanting trees and haunting moths and butterflies.
